The Alaska Seidels

Hi everyone,

Not sure if anyone bothers checking this since I never write on here anymore. Life is busy and I have class, Austin, Kevin, etc. I tend to let the world know what's going on through Facebook especially with an Iphone now. Sooo easy!

But those who do not have facebook and tend to stay updated through this, I will now catch yall up to date the best I can:

October I was able to get my new beloved camera (thank goodness for the PFD!) and carry it with me and use it all the time! For halloween Austin was a Dallas Cowboy! Go figure right? He got the uniform and helmet for his birthday so why not, right? He didn't wear the helmet for a while but now loves to wear it around. We went trick or treating with Marcie and Hannah on base and it was sooo cold! We were only out for about ten minutes! It was fun and we got tons of pictures!

So far in November it finally snowed at the end of the week, I think it was the 8th. Austin and I went over to Marcie and Hannah's again for the first time playing in the snow. Austin did NOT like it! He just hates the cold. Great right? We are here for another like 3-4 years and he won't go play outside. Urgh! He won't even walk from the car to a building, nothing! He's too big to carry now so you'll see us walking (me holding his hand) and him bawling his eyes out! Let's just say we don't get out alot.

I passed fall semester, and started winter semester last week. I'm taking Algebra part two, Art Appreciation, and English online. Fun stuff!

So we've had plumbing problems for a while now in our kitchen but we didn't know how bad it was until Thursday night. Kevin was taking out the trash can which is under the sink and saw that the can left a puddle on the ground. He looked under the sink and the underneath is soaked and a huge puddle. The under board there is rioted through and the leak is worse than before. We've already had a plumber come out before. So we decided that we were done with the quick fixes. We are going to remodel the kitchen. We planned on doing that in a few years but it looks like its going to be this year. I'm starting the planning as in getting the ideas together into a book, write what we want changed, what could be changed, etc. We also went to Lowe's and took some pictures of ideas we like, colors, knobs, etc. We are going to get a designer and their company to do all the stuff. We've got great recommendations of one company who's done remodeling for Kevin's friends. So that is in the future.

We are still part of a great mommie's group founded by Jamie called Alaska's kids. We have met so many great moms and kids! It keeps us busy and greatly entertained. Our mommie's night out was last night and we played Poker! It was soo much fun! To top it off, I won the pot! How cool is that?!

So updates on Austin: He's getting so huge now! He can say the whole alphabet, not in order but he knows each letter. To help I painted the alphabet on his wall at eye level. He knows more and more words that I can't even make a list anymore. I swear he learns a new one every day. He's so smart! I tried to get him ready for a toddler bed but it didn't happen, he's just not ready. So he'll be 26 months on Nov 25th!
