Sep 1 and 2

So first and second day of September are here and almost gone. Austin has less than 23 days left of being one year old. Time goes too fast when you have children. He's become OBSESSED with hats recently. I don't know where it came from because he use to loath wearing hats. Anytime we put one on him. This past weekend he was playing with Kevin's hat, wearing it, putting it on Kevin, and me, but majority of the time just wearing it himself. Pretty crazy! So we have a dallas cowboys hat on his shelf that is his size so I brought it down for him and he was super excited! Kept saying "hat, hat, hat!" It's def good though b/c its getting colder and nice to know his head is warm. :)
So Tues (Sep 1) Austin and I were busy lil bees ("workie, work, busy bee" love that commerical!). We had a playdate at this science kid type museum that we've never been to or knew about before. It had this cool dig pit where it was pieces of rubber and plastic shovels and plastic toys to dig up. Austin loved gathering the shovels together (he's got OCD). After that, we went to Kid to Kid to dropped off some clothes and used the money to get him a snow suit for this winter since he's going to be big enough to play outside this year. I just need gloves, snow hat, and snow boots left on the list. After that, I tried to get him to take a nap but no such luck, so we went on to McD's for a quick lunch and then went to one of the mom's house from our playgroup that morning and had the kids play outside on some of toys that mom had. One of them was a powerwheel jeep and Austin loved it...loved being the passenger that is. Refused to push the pedal himself but if the other boy pushed it, he was all smiles! :) So after that, we went home, picked up Kevin and left for Kevin's flag football game. Yeah, Austin was doing an outstanding job, no fusing, no crying! Praise the Lord! :) While the game was going Austin had his kick ball and was kicking it back and forth. He's doing great in that. I know he'll be awesome in soccer once he's old enough. After the game, some random dude gave Adam (one of friend's on the flag football team) a bunch of crap about his front truck's license plate and said he was a SP, etc. Here is is 8pm, he's off duty in gym attire acting like he's the big man campus, and the other cop that showed apoligized to Adam since Adam was in the right, stupid! So moving on, we went to Qudoba for dinner with Adam and talked about the game and that stupid cop, then finally went home. It was 9pm! We gave Austin a bath, finished up laundry, read some books with Austin, got him to bed and the day was officially done. What a day!
Today hopefully will be less busy. I got to sleep in since we've been getting up early for the playdates. Kevin gives me a call that there is a going away lunch for a co-worker so we leave to go do that at 1130am. We got back home around 1-ish and now we are relaxing. Austin is playing with a sound making book (Cars the movie) and I'm doing my norm of surfing the internet and about to do some spanish homework. Fun stuff! :) Kevin has class tonight so we will be hanging out here and I might pop in a movie for Austin to watch, not sure.
Hope everyone that reads this is doing well and having things to do too. It's nice to get out and meet new people and not be cooped up all the time. I was going stir crazy that's for sure! Also, I got confirmation from my dad that he is coming at the end of September for Austin's birthday. Gald he'll get to meet his other grandpa. Austin might be a lil confused when we say he's papa as well. Like uh, no he doesn't look like the papa I met this summer.
