Here we are almost into September and I haven't updated my blog. I'm so sorry. I know there are some who still read it and probably have now given up on me. Well here's the lastest in the Seidel house hold:
Starting with June, i quit GCI to become a full time student with Wayland baptist. We get extra money if you take 3 classes. So I am getting paid more than a part time with GCI. I would have kept the job but the schedule for Kevin and I both to go to school (you have to have one sit in class) was too complicated with me working nights.
In July Kevin's dad came to visit. He was here two weeks! We did alot and Austin was not really on his best behavior. Granted we didn't stay at home much so his routine was completely ruined. We did have a lot of fun though and got JC penny pictures done. Plus Kevin and his dad went on a Salmon charter and caught a few salmon. I'm actually eating some right now. Yum! We still have 4 packets left in the freezer! Nuts how much salmon we got from just three fish.
In August just like last August was ER month. This time Kevin was the patient. His mom had flown in on Thrusday night and by Saturday Kevin had a massive migriane and was throwing up like he had a head injury or something. Thankfully with Geri (Kevin's mom) being there I was able to put my attention fully on getting Kevin where he needed to go and get him better. We got ct scans, MRIs, meds, etc. And so far nothing has shown up. He's feeling lots better and everyday its an improvement. Granted he is still taking some meds a day. We both are in our second semester of this year for school and I've got three classes this semester and most likely the next year or so. With Kevin sick, house a mess, and Austin a toddler its been quite hard to keep up with everything the past two weeks. So let's see September brings hopefully my dad to visit, Austin's birthday, and the state fair. The state fair is Aug 27-Sep 7. They have a petting zoo and all of Austin favorite (cept monkeys) animals. The ones he knows names for that is. Tonight is the third flag football game. The first one, we lost, second one that Kevin didn't play in we won so we'll see how tonight goes. Kevin has a sit-in class on weds and my sit-in class is on Saturdays. With that being said, Austin's party will be on Sunday since I'll be in class on Saturday.
So some up coming trips: The wedding in March in IL; and going to Vegas next October! Kevin's mom agreed to watch Austin when she flies up here next Oct. She's coming b/c Kevin graduates with his Bachelor's. Fun stuff! Now let's see if I can separate myself from Austin for a week. I guess we'll see.
Also a couple of prayer requests and praises: Thank you for all the prayers for Kevin and his ill last week. God def blessed him with a quick recovery after we were able to get some meds. Secondly, I applied for a job at the hospital on base that I hope to get. It's an admin position. And lastly, that my mom gets the finances she needs for her mission trip in January. She's been wanting/praying to go to Guatamala for a long time now but doesn't quite have the finanices for it yet. Hopefully everything works out. I'll try to update youtube with more videos of this crazy kid of mine. He turned 23 months today! He'll be 2 in one month! Yikes!!!! His vocab has grown tremdiously! He's saying two-word sentences and is super duper smart! I mean like w/o any help from us whatsoever, he was playing with his blocks that has letters on them and he has this caterpliar with the alphabet on it and he was putting at his block letter and matching it with the caterpilar letter! Nuts! Got some of it on video as well. I'm pretty impressed, of course I'm the mommy so I'm biased. :) Alright well, Austin is yelling at the cat for something and I need a pepsi so I'll finish up by saying I'll add pictures later! :) Our shutterfly website is updated with last months pictures in the Austin tab. LOVES!
PS I plan (we'll see if it happens) to do what I did last year and take a picture a day of Austin for the whole month of September. Btw, he's 35 pounds as of two weeks ago! What a BIG BOY!
