Sept 5th here and gone...

Another sorta busy day today. We had another bed accident this morning. When Kevin doesn't change Austin before he leaves for work, Austin won't wake up until he's soaked all the way through. The only different is he did a number two that was so 'stuck' to him that I had to just give him a warm bath to get it off. Poor kid! So more laundry this morning as well. Ugh! So after Kevin got home today we went to Once upon a child to see if they had any baby gates that swung out and were connected to the wall. They only had the cheap plastic ones so we went to Walmart. Same there as well but we got some cute lil shoes for Austin which was needed badly. He's walking now and needs shoes bad but he's got such a wide foot its hard to find some good shoes for him. After we left Walmart, we stopped by Fred Meyer and no swinging baby gates there either. Then an idea hit me, maybe Home Depot and sure enough they had them. We just bought one for now since we have those stairs that need blocking. After leaving Home depot we stopped by our new house and dropped the items off that we had in the car already like a microwave we are borrowing and the gate. We took Austin inside and tested him with the stairs and sure enough if I wasn't standing on the stairs he would have fell straight down them. The house is a split level and you have to go upstairs to the main level. ALL the houses are like that here. I hate it but we have no other options. A swinging gate is a lot safer and more secure than those wall stressing gates b/c sure enough Austin will lean on it, it'll buckle from his big ol' fat weight and down the stairs he'll go. The deck outside already has a gate so that's safe for him so we are debating getting one for the kitchen or just doing the baby locks for the cabinets and calling it good. I still don't know what we should do for the trash can so I dunno. It's a whole new world once that kid got up on those feet you know? :) Neways, the countdown continues of my lil' man. The mole is growing again and I'm getting scared that it will get huge again and I just don't want to have to deal with all that crap again. We are still getting bills for the first ER visit and they didn't do anything. It's soo frustrating.
The above picture is of Austin and his 'sneakiness'. He thinks he's smart and sneaks up on the side table to grab our drinks but we've caught on. The second picture is of Austin drinking his juice and being lazy. Usually he's sitting up and drinking it so that's why I took this picture today b/c he was being soo lazy about it.
