Sept 12th here and gone...

Today was a great day for Alaskan residents. We got paid for living here for the year! :D Whoo-hoo! It was just about 6400 dollars which we need for all the costing costs, and money we had to spend in order to get this house. Plus we are going to be selling alot of our things and the money we get from that we are getting a smaller dinning set like a four chair one than the 8 chair one that we never used. Also I plan on painting Austin's room and my room and I would like to start saving a good bit of money for new kitchen appliances. So alot of plans in the future for this place. Today was just another day. We didn't do much and Austin was his normal self. He had a hard time going to sleep tonight but after the third try he laid down for good. Kevin and I watched The Heat with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. It was pretty good. I was surprised how many actors were in it though. When a loud scene came on, Austin would start yelling at the tv and then start running around yelling. It was actually pretty funny.
On thing new to report is Austin bent down and picked up his football and got back up again without help. He hasn't done that yet. He would bend over, put one hand on the ground and one hand on the football and then come back up. So I know he could get up on his feet w/o help but he's lazy and still crawls to something and pulls himself up. Silly kid! He was pretty mean to me today. I was fed up with him grabbing my glasses so I asked Kevin if I could please go back to contacts. The reason I got glasses was to save money but its not saving money if the kid keeps bending my glasses to the point they don't fit. So tomorrow I'll be looking for an eye doctor to get contact prescribition. I'm also going to get my hair fixed tomorrow. It's been a couple of months since I screwed up my hair. I tried dying the underneathe a red tone and it just went bright red instead of a natural red in the part that grew out and did nothing to the dark part of my hair so I have about four different colors in my hair right now. Kevin has two flag football games tomorrow and with Austin its just too much for us to go to both so we will show up when Austin is awake whenever that will be and go for as long as he can take it. It's nice to have that choice now with the two cars. Oh speaking of that, we have our stuff being picked up tomorrow morning and they will be on their way FINALLY! The guy told Kevin that he will give Kevin a call when the stuff arrives in Washington sometime next week. We were like wow, that's going to be quick! If they get to WA by next Friday, it should only take 4 more days after that to get to AK so that's in 14 days! Craziness! I sure hope it does.
So some more news: I made another hard decision today. I talked to Kevin's mom about the cats and we all agreed that they would be better to stay there in Texas. She found a family that is retired and are looking for two indoor cats that can be mousers for their house out in the country. With the cost of the vets again and the cost of shipping and them being flown once again for the fourth time in their four years of life its just not worth the trouble anymore. They don't miss me or anything. I know they aren't depressed and they will be together. It's just better for everyone I think. So my husband has won. He wanted to get rid of all the animals and it happened. My sister has Saber our dog and now a friend and co-worker of Kevin's mom will have the girls. How do I give in to these demands?! Why does it cost nearly 500 dollars to fly animals around? It's just soo frustrating! I told Kevin this doesn't mean that we are not going to have any pets at all. I will get another cat. Just one and he said that was fine if we get the cat declawed. I use to refuse such a thing but its better for Austin if the kitten doesn't have the claws and for the furniture. Both of the couches are pretty much trash now b/c of the girls using it as a scratch post. And so is some other furniture. So that's what happened today. Alot but not much. :)
So here is an ode to my pets may they love their new families and I'm sorry I wasn't able to keep them.
