Yesterday started out like any other day. We went to the clinic as I said previously, came home and then left for Kevin's football game. After that was over, we went back home and pretty much that should have been the end of the day. Kevin went to bed and Austin followed shortly after. Around 11pm Austin started crying so I thought it was time for his bottle. I went into the room and he was standing up already. I looked at him and his bandaid was soaked through so I woke Kevin up since it takes two to hold him down to put another bandaid on him. We get the first bandaid on him but its hanging down and Austin is moving it around by rubbing his eyes since he is tired. So I get another bandaid on him and its soaking through. I take it off and it starts bleeding fast. So here we are again, bleeding and bleeding with no end in sight. I of course am soooo done with all this I start crying. Austin is already crying b/c he's tired but can't lay down or crawl around and we keep having to clean his face up which he is not having. Kevin is frustrated b/c we've spent enough money on all this and nothing has been done. So after about an hour and me begging Kevin a thousand times, we go back to the ER. This time the bleeding has not stopped. Its another 30 minutes before we are seen surprisingly, but the nurse said they've been pretty busy so that's understandable. Every person that sees poor Austin feels for him b/c he was such a mess. His whole face, onesie, etc was just soaked in blood from this lil' mole on his face. So after another hour the doctor gives him a sedative to calm him down in order for him to do his job. The sedative for you medical people is Ketamine. It didn't work very well with Austin. He's such a fighter! He never went to sleep or even closed his eyes. The only real effect to it was his eyes were exetremely glossy and unfocused and he kept trying to talk but only a few sounds would come out. Once the doctor was anywhere near him though, he would start putting up a fight. Soo strong that kid is! So the doctor just colatized it since there was nothing to stitch up he says. It was too small of a wound. At least something was finally done with this thing though. I just pray soo hard that this does the trick. Right now, he has an ash mark but it looks to me like the mole is half still there. It looks like if you were to cut the top layer of a wart and the roots were still in the skin which means it could pop back up.
So we came home. Austin was coming out of the medicine and went to sleep the second I laid him in his crib and he woke up twice for a bottle and has been pretty normal since. All this was very hard on all of us. I was crying through out the whole thing (big shocker I know...) and even Kevin teared up a lil from Austin being under the 'spell' type that he was and having to get poked and held down. It was not fun but needed to be done. Soooooooooo we shall see if all that was for something or nothing....oh and we didn't home until around 3am. TIRED! :)
