I forget who sings that song. :) Neways, as you can see I changed the blog completely around to the new upgrade of
blogger. It took me a long time b/c I was scared of the changes they had made. I have now sat down, took some time and figured out as much as I can right now. It looks a lot better I think. Sharper and more organzied. The older verison was slumpy b/c I kept copying and pasting and forgeting how to go back, etc. Ok, enough with that yawn fest and on to the real world. I applied for GCI here which is our cable/internet/phone service; kinda like Time Warner down in the states. I haven't heard anything back. I also applied to Best Buy's Geek Squad and again, no calls. So its getting a little unnerving. I want to be able to be home during the day with Austin and then work at night/weekends to make some money for the family but its looking like we are going to have a serious talk about what I am going to do for some cash. Let's just say, the words, "Guards or Reserves" came up.
This of course all started b/c we are shoppin
g for a house. Well with the cash we have, its more like a duplex if we can even afford that. The Mortage lady said with what we have and what we make we could do 3700 dollar/month payments and Kevin was like uh, I don't think so. He doesn't even want to do 2,000/month payments. That's going to be a little hard when all places for sale are over 200,000 here in Anchorage. A 3 bed/2 bath duplex is around 240,000! Houses are around 260,000. If we get a job with GCI, you get cable, phone and internet free as an employee which would take care of pretty much majority of the bills. If I work at Best Buy you get mad discounts on everything and we shop there quite a bit especially with a house on the way and we need a fridge, washer and dryer. So with all this stress, its been a sucky summer. Plus it hasn't been sunny since July 4th. It's been darker during this summer than it usually is during the winter. It's quite depressing!
Well on a lighter note, Austin is now cruising along wonderfully. He stands up using everything and is now trying to take a few steps w/o help, but only when we work with him. He won't do that on his own yet. And no standing up w/o some kind of support. He's getting there thou
gh. He'll be 10 months on Friday. I can't believe how fast time is flying. He'll be one year old in 64 days! YIKES! He's becoming trouble that's for sure. He's a fiesty one. He'll hit us, scratch us, bite us, etc...oh what fun! But then again, he makes the cutest faces and laughs most of the time. He's just getting ready for those toddler years coming up. The pictures I provided have some comments: The first one is of Austin's butt crack. LOL! I just couldn't resist taking a shot at that lil' plumber's butt he's got going on that day. It was just too cute! The second one was for daddy to have at work. LOL! Austin is relentless when it comes to the video game controllers. He must love the taste of them b/c he stops at nothing to get to them if he can. The last one, he actually posed for. I was snapping shots of him watching Kevin play his college football game and when I flashed the camera he turned around and gave me that face. He's been doing that one alot and it cracks us up!
